Who are the mats suitable for:
🥋 Training spaces for karate, judo, aikido, taekwondo, boxing
Tatami floors are an integral part of martial arts. They are used as a shock-absorbing surface in dojos, gyms, or sports halls. In judo and aikido, they soften falls and rolls, while in taekwondo or karate they provide a safe surface for kicks, stances, and quick movements. Their color variations allow you to create competition zones and boundaries according to federation rules.
🏋️ Sports clubs, gyms, and home training areas
In clubs, tatami mats serve as a durable, easy-to-maintain, and flexible floor for various activities – from fitness and cross-training to stretching or yoga. At home, you can create a temporary training corner that you can easily dismantle and store after a workout. They ensure stability underfoot and protect your floor from damage.
🏫 Schools, kindergartens, and children’s playrooms
In educational facilities, tatami mats are used as a safe base for play, movement, and rest. In kindergartens, teachers use them to create a play area where children can tumble, build, or read without the risk of injury. In schools, they can serve as a temporary gym floor, underlay for equipment, or even as quiet relaxation zones. The tatami puzzle system makes setup and storage quick and simple.
🧘 Play, therapeutic, and relaxation zones
In therapy, sensory stimulation, or rehabilitation centers, tatami mats are used as a soft and hygienic surface for various activities – from positioning clients and fine motor games to physiotherapy exercises. They are also used in meditation or relaxation rooms as a comfortable insulating layer on the floor. In play areas or festivals, they work perfectly as portable “soft flooring” for kids and adults alike.

💡 Assembly and disassembly tip: If you frequently change the mat layout after training, dismantle them carefully – lift and separate along the interlocking direction. This prevents damage to the connecting teeth.
